General features
NEW! T-Class designation. For 2011, the DS 250 is a designated T-class ATV, meaning it is designed for riders 14 and older, with a maximum unregulated speed of 38 mph (61 km/h). It has a liquid-cooled 249cc engine, great, consistent power for the class, thanks to liquid-cooling, single overhead cam and four-valve head. It is one of the only liquid-cooled engines in the category. It features Automatic CVT Transmission; Continuously Variable Transmission is always in the “right gear” and delivers quicker acceleration.
Talking abut brakes, it has hydraulic disc brakes with steel-braided brake lines, front and rear hydraulic disc brakes for outstanding stopping power. Braided stainless steel lines reduce fade while split brakes add control. Front and rear spring pre-load load adjusters; Five-position adjusters on the Motion Control shocks make it easy to adjust the DS 250 model’s suspension to driver weight and terrain conditions.
It has full lighting, twin 35-Watt headlights that illuminate the trail ahead and the tail light/brake light that communicates the driver’s moves to followers.
With an edgy design, edgy, aggressive bodywork and minimalist style, it will surely turn heads.
